Electric is very expensive to insure, compared to petrol or diesel.
Looking at PCP rates, the finance companies don’t have much confidence in them holding their value.
So you buy a £50,000 Tesla, who is going to give you £15,000 for it when its 5 year old and (maybe) needs a new battery, at a cost of another £15,000??? I wouldn’t.
Anyway I digress, if this article is anything to go by, its another nail in the coffin of these so called green things that are anything but.
It turns out that if your electric car is involved in an accident of any kind, its impossible to know the exact condition of the battery and if there is any visible damage, it needs replacing which can write off the car? Madness! We have to do everything possible to reduce carbon emissions, how is this helping? Just buy a small internal combustion car and drive less!!!
