I’m not sure how true this is

Anyway whatever the details of this, it appears to me that they are just brainlessly spending, and it will have consequences for everyone.
How can they pay back the loan on 2 trillion of debt? Even at 0.5 % interest rates, thats 5 billion a year, or 416 million a month.
This will have profound effects for everyone. They will have to print money and the value of the money in everyones pocket will go down.
The only glimmer of hope I can see is that people who own property – will see their mortgages reduce in value over time, because property does tend to keep in line with inflation, so existing mortgages will be easier to pay off eventually. So if you can afford to buy a house, buy it and hold on, in 10 years the outstanding mortgage may be the price of a loaf of bread.
What a disgraceful mess. Piss money away, oh and don’t forget to give some of it to friends and families companies well we are at it.
Why can’t we just have some decent honest politicians, that treat everybody equally, and just do the right thing? In business, you have to be like this, because in the age of the internet you would be found out immediately and your reputation will suffer. I know politicans don’t last long in this day and age, but I want them to do the right thing when they are in office. Thats what they are there for.
I think he is going to be remembered as the man who wrecked the country. The consequences of this are going to be felt for years and years.
