Lets forget COVID-19 for a moment and all the news coverage and everything that’s happened in 2020. Lets pretend we have just discovered a new type of common cold virus that is very infectious. We want to know if this virus is dangerous or not.
So we count the number of people who get infected. Because its contagious, the more testing we do, the more infections we find. If we didn’t do as much testing, there would be less infections.
We then decide we must count the number of people who die with the virus. Because its very contagious, a big percentage of people will have it, and because lots of people die every day, every month, every year of a wide range of different causes anyway, if we count the number of deaths WITH the virus, again we are going to get a high figure, because all of the people who died of strokes, cancer, etc, are getting counted and because a lot of people have the virus, a lot of people who die will also have it.
Can you see where I’m going?
COVID-19 is like this.
What we should be looking at
If we want to know the truth about it, if we want to know how dangerous it really is, we have to look at the correct data.
Because most people who come into contact with the virus will have an healthy immune response, it is important to only count people who develop severe illness.
Secondly, we should only be counting people who have developed severe illness, who subsequently die in the next 28 days, as a COVID-19 death.
Discussion
I think if we did this, the numbers will be very different. While infections might double every few days, I don’t think the severe illness figures would be anywhere near the same. Would it be different enough to change the current disasterous policies? Well unless we look at the correct data, we will never know.
Its not possible to learn in the current scenario. Just because 10,000 died in China say, that doesn’t mean anything because China’s population is 1.4 billion so only .0007% of the population has died of COVID-19.
Already hospitals have cancelled minor operations. The population is scared so people who have strokes or cancer may not be able to be seen or be too scared to go to hospital in case they catch COVID-19. When they die are they getting included in the COVID-19 figures even if they had no COVID-19 symptoms?
How many people have died needlessly already because of COVID-19?
Have the WHO and the governments of the world lost the plot? I do think they could be looking at the wrong data.

I think we could be looking at the wrong data, in a way that is impossible to know the true picture or to learn if our measures are improving or making things worse or not.
I think if the Chinese had decided to wage economic warfare on us, they couldn’t have done a better job.
I strongly suggest you read the book and make up your own mind. I really hope you do, this is important and its only public opinion that’s going to change things. Blindly going along with what the government say and complaining why your neighbours aren’t wearing a mask isn’t going to fix anything.
